Modesto Armenteros, 36, of Port Chester, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 4, by Greenwich Police after he was held by the New Haven Police Department for an event that took place on Saturday, Nov. 2, said Lt. John Slusarz.
A warrant was issued for Armenteros after police responded to a Greenwich home on the report of a fight in progress.
When police arrived, Armenteros had fled, but the victim told officers they had been attacked, and that he had attempted to strangle/suffocate them during a fight, Slusarz said.
He was charged with disorderly conduct, unlawful restraint, and strangulation/suffocation, police said.
Armenteros is being held on a $100,000 bond.
A records check shows that Armenteros has been arrested in the past, including for allegedly selling heroin in Stamford in 2016, for stalking, and he also has a burglary conviction and a drug conviction.
